Avatar, which opened the 3D era in the world film industry in 2009, officially announced its return with the new film <Avatar: The Way of Water>.

Disney surprised fans at D23 Expo (Anaheim, California) on Saturday (10), giving fans a special look at the upcoming film. Director James Cameron, Producer Jon Landau, Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Trinity Bliss came up to the stage and communicate with the audience.

They showed a new teaser trailer for Avatar and fans in there were handed 3D glasses to watch the underwater scenes on enormous screens.

The teaser was the scene that children are jumping into coral reefs and playing with hundreds of vividly represented underwater wild animals. The fans cheered for the amazing 3D underwater pandora. In addition, a huge action scene raises expectations for the main episode.

Director James Cameron said “I think Avatar had an impact on the way films were presented that’s now just sort of accepted and part of the zeitgeist and how it's done. In terms of long term cultural impact, well, I guess we’ll find out if people show up for Avatar 2.”

Don’t miss it in theaters on December 16.
