[News] MOLIT promised to establish Digital Twin ecosystem

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport held the “2nd startup & youth foundation Coffeechat” event to revitalize new industries in land transportation on August 18.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, startup representatives, and prospective entrepreneurs attended the event.
The second Coffeechat, held at the office of the Gwanghwamun Youth Foundation in the morning, was held under the theme of “Digital Twin” with about 30 prospective entrepreneurs and representatives of digital twin startups. Digital Twin refers to a technology that creates real-life objects in a virtual space and verifies them through various simulations.

On this day, Jeong Hyeon Kim, the CEO of RebuilderAI, asked for solving legal and institutional tasks he felt while growing into a digital twin startup.

On behalf of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Won Hee-ryong said “They will take the lead in building high-quality spatial information, opening open data, and supporting packages for startups and establishing a digital twin ecosystem where creative sprout companies can freely realize various ideas.” He also promised to build high-precision spatial information by the government.
